Ever since I started developing my own state of mind,
differentiating from what's black and what's white
and standing up for what I think is right;
I've always been admonished for saying the right words.
When my parents have an arguement,
they tend to ask questions that benefits only either one of them like,
"Who do you think is better?", and you only have one option.
So it's either 'this' or 'that'. Nothing in between.
And whenever I speak for who I think was right,
I end up being reprimanded by the one that I did not 'side'
and that really sucks 'cause in actuality, I'm not siding anyone.
I'm just standing up for myself and my principles and, I mean,
aren't I right for being truthful?
It's kind of like being stuck in the middle.
All you want to do is say nothing no more and
just crawl out from the hole even if it can only fit an ant.
That's right! That's why people these days don't say the right things anymore.
Afraid of being reprimanded, they'd prefer to tell lies and feel better about it.
And so, we're all being raised to refrain from saying the right words.
That's not hard to understand, isn't it?
